Recommended for the Airfix 1/350 scale HMS Illustrious.
These two domes represent the pair of satellite communication "SATCOM" aerials (larger than standard RN SCOT aerials) carried by HMS Invincible R05, HMS Illustrious R06, and HMS Ark Royal R07 during the 1980s and 1990s. These aerials were removed during the major re-fits of Ark Royal (2000) and lllustrious (2003), but retained by HMS Invincible throughout her service.
