Set includes 24 tubs.

Recommended for any 1/350 scale US Navy, Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, US Coast Guard and US Merchant Marine World War II- and Korean War-era model ship fit with Mk.51 fire control directors.

This set of models represents the circular steel shields which protected World War Two- and Korean War-era Mark 51 Fire Control Directors and their crews.  The Mark 51 fire control director was used by the US Navy to control the gunfire of 40 mm Bofors cannons and later for 3"/50 caliber guns.  The protective steel shields were known as "tubs".

There were many variations of tubs.  This design is based on tubs fit to Essex class aircraft carriers.  It is suitable for other ships fit with tubs featuring 12 external "rib" stiffeners.

Dimensions:

Outer diameter, not including ribs = 6.00 mm

Inner diameter = 5.20 mm

Height = 3.86 mm

Shield thickness = 0.40 mm
