This model represents the massive funnel of celebrated aircraft carrier USS Lexington CV-2 as she appeared from 1941 through March, 1942 during which she and her crew participated in an attempted raid on the Japanese base on Jaluit in the Marshall Islands, patrols northeast of Christmas Island, an attempted raid on Rabaul, and a raid on Japanese shipping anchored at Lae and Salamaua. Get out your Brewster F2A Buffaloes!
