Recommended to help improve your Trumpeter 1/350 scale USS Lexington CV-2 kit to better represent the ship as she appeared on May 8, 1942 during the Battle of the Coral Sea.
This model represents the island of celebrated aircraft carrier USS Lexington CV-2 as she appeared on the day of her sinking, 8 May 1942. On this day, Lexington's aircraft, together with those of USS Yorktown CV-5, sank the Japanese aircraft carrier Shoho and the crippled the Japanese aircraft carrier Shokaku during the first carrier vs. carrier battle in history.

- fittings and other details confirmed by careful study of photographs of the actual ship as it appeared in service and the wreck
- proper deck shapes for Lexington (Saratoga's were shaped differently)
