These models represent the wingtip fuel tanks for Grumman F9F-2/3 Panther jet fighters.  The models are intended as direct replacements for the Trumpeter 1/48 scale F9F-2 and F9F-3 Panther kit's parts.  Grumman drawings indicate that the real tanks were 113 inches (287 cm) long and 26 inches (66 cm) in diameter.  The Trumpeter kit's tanks are noticeably undersized, about 22% too small. 
 
Large tabs are included to fit between the wing halves to assist in alignment.
 
These models are original designs.  They are not 3D-printed copies of any plastic or resin kit's parts and therefore are likely to be sized and shaped differently than the parts in your kit.  Some adjustment to your plastic kit's parts may be necessary for best fit.
