Until late 1941, the Lexington class aircraft carriers USS Lexington CV-2 and USS Saratoga CV-3 carried four twin 8"/55 caliber turrets.  The upper two turrets were fit with rangefinders.  The lower two turrets were not.  This set contains all four of the proper type turrets to help the modeler accurize any 1/700 scale Lexington or Saratoga kit.

These turrets are not suitable for models of US Navy cruisers of World War Two.  Those ships carried 8"/55 cal. turrets of a different design, available separately.

158 hex-head exterior bolts properly sized, numbered and positioned according to photos of the actual turrets
separate trunnion, slotted for your favorite brass barrels (barrels not included) to allow you to position the guns to any realistic elevation from -5 degrees to +40 degress just like the real turret

These turrets are not 3D-printed copies of plastic kit parts but are original designs based on Navy references.  Therefore, they are not the same size and shape as the turrets found in plastic kits.  Some adjustment of your plastic kit's parts may be necessary for best fit.
