Here is a downloadable scan of official US Navy drawings of the armored cruiser (second-class battleship) USS Maine ACR-1, 1895-1898.  The drawing was probably prepared by the US Navy Bureau of Construction and Repair, Washington D.C., circa 1895.  The scan shows plan (overhead) views of the watertight compartmentization of six decks.
 
The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
