Here is a downloadable scan of official US Navy drawings of the harbor tugboat USS Waban (1880).  The drawing was prepared by Pensacola Navy Yard, Pensacola, Florida, dated April, 1903.  The drawing shows the outboard profile.

 

USS Waban was originally built by William Cramp & Sons, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as the iron-hull steam tug Confidence.  She was purchased by the US Navy and commissioned as USS Waban on 25 July 1898.  The boat remained in civilian service as Whiteman 5 as late as 1979.

 

The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
