Here is a downloadable scan of an official US Navy docking plan for Iowa class battleships.  The drawing was prepared by New York Navy Yard circa 1940.  A docking plan shows the placement of docking piers under the hull when a ship is in drydock.  It also includes important features of the ship's hull.

The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
