Here is a downloadable scan of an official US Navy drawing of the US Navy's R-class submarines which were in service from 1918-1931 and again from 1940-1945.  The drawing was prepared by Electric Boat Company, Groton, Connecticutt, dated 19 February 1917.  This sheet includes the inboard profile view, plan (overhead) deck view, and 9 hull cross-sections.
 
The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
