Here is a downloadable scan of official US Navy Contract Drawings of the North Carolina class battleships USS North Carolina BB-55 and USS Washington BB-56.  The drawings were prepared by the US Navy Bureau of Contrsution and Repair 4 May 1937 as part of preliminary design work for shipyards.  The drawing includes the outboard profile view.
 
The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
