Here is a downloadable scan of official US Navy drawings of the ironclad monitor USS Monitor.  The drawings were prepared circa 1862 and held in the Records of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, 1928 - 2008.  The scan shows an outboard profile view and plan (overhead) view.
 
The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
