Here is a downloadable scan of official US Navy Booklet of General Plans drawings of the Essex class aircraft carrier USS Wasp CVS-18.  The drawings were originally prepared by New York Naval Shipyard, dated 19 September 1951, and updated by Boston Naval Shipyard, dated 3 January 1968. 
 
This set of 4 drawings includes the title sheet, ship's data, port and starboard outboard profiles, inboard profile, plan (overhead) views of island decks and platforms and the flight deck, and 6 hull cross sections.
 
Due to the size of the drawings, they have been compiled and compressed as a single *.zip file.
 
The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
