Here is a downloadable scan of official drawings of the sloop-of-war USS Yorktown 1839.  The drawing was prepared by the Boston Navy Yard, dated May, 1849.  This scan shows a plan (overhead) view of the gun deck.
 
The original scan was obtained from the US National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland.
